Francesca is a female high-school student at the Pennington School. She has been working on a Girls in STEM Project which works with teen girls at Dzaleka Refugee Camp who have been forced to drop out of school due to their menstrual cycles. Over the past 3 years, we have created a hybrid sanitary napkin after rounds of testing by partnering with the teen girls. After creating a viable solution that now has two pending patents (design and utility patents), we have developed an economic model which involves the production and selling of the product.
