Graduated from Industrial Engineering in 2001 from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio, Antonio worked at management consulting firm ACCENTURE for 10 years in different projects in the telecommunications, oil and mining industries. In 2010, started at mining company VALE as a procurement specialist where he stayed until Dec/14. After a mindset and career shift process, Antonio worked until Aug/17 at the PRO NATURA INTERNATIONAL to manage a local development program on the island of Marajó in Brazil, one of the country's most vulnerable regions. He participated as a speaker about this program at Yale University during the conference of the International Society of Tropical Foresters. Today, Antonio works in REDE ASTA, a social business focused on the transformation of Brazilian artisans into entrepreneurs, as manager of its online platform for education, network and connection between the handwork economy and the market. About his academic background, Antonio has different postgraduation courses in Project Management, Sustainable Construction and Urban Engineering. Antonio speaks fluent Portuguese and English, advanced Spanish and basic French. His experiences on varied projects and different teams have enriched his human capabilities, technical skills as well as readiness to adjust to new environments, cultures and roles.
