Belle Sweeney is the founder and executive director of The Schoolbox Project. She has dedicated the last 15 years to working for and with vulnerable populations, including ten years as an emergency foster mother. Formerly a director of a vocational program for people with barriers to employment, Sweeney went to school for Occupational Therapy before making her escape to the country to keep bees and run an alpaca farm, complete with miniature donkeys. She began traveling to Greece to volunteer in refugee camps in 2015 and founded The Schoolbox Project in March of 2016.
