Danny Becker

Program Coordinator for Student Engagement and Outreach, PKG Center for Public Service

As Program Coordinator, Danny manages student engagement, outreach, and recruitment for the PKG Center’s programming. His role includes establishing and further developing partnerships with a range of MIT partners, departments, and student communities, as well as civic engagement opportunities for students! 

 

Prior to joining the PKG Center Danny spent several years supporting students in community building across political, social, cultural, and ethnic boundaries at The David Project, a department of Hillel International. His work included co-managing the department’s national programs, overseeing a team that managed over 250 interns, and creating the organization’s first Jewish-Latino Summit in Miami, FL, and Black-Jewish Summit in Washington, DC. Danny graduated from Michigan State University with degrees in Comparative Cultures & Politics and International Relations and has spent significant time learning about social, political, and identity-based challenges in Latin America and Israel. He is currently pursuing his Master of Social Work degree at Boston University’s School of Social Work. In his free time, Danny likes to watch too much tv, spend time outside running and camping, and tailgate during football season.
