Eric Obeysekare is wrapping up his PhD in Informatics with the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State. In graduate school, Eric has extensive experience working with the Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship program at Penn State with whom he traveled to Kenya and Sierra Leone to work on several social enterprises. He received a Fulbright Research Scholarship in 2017 to travel to Kigali, Rwanda for 9 months to study the innovation ecosystem, tech hubs, and startups for his dissertation. Eric also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon from 2011 to 2013 where he served as a ICT Teacher. His undergraduate degree in Computer Science is also from Penn State.
