Lucy Ashman

Lucy is the Global Director of Social Innovation at Teach For All, currently based in Vancouver, Canada. She leads the strategy to inspire, incubate, and accelerate the pipeline of around 500 social entrepreneurs emerging from the global Teach For All alumni community, which are focused on improving education, support, and opportunities for children around the world so that they can shape a better future for themselves and all of us.
Prior to this role, she was a founding member of the Teach First Innovation Unit in the UK, where she was in charge of designing and delivering the strategy to inspire new innovations and to support early-stage, alumni-led innovations develop into sustainable, impactful social enterprises.
Lucy is also a Policy Fellow at the Department for Education in England and a Teach First UK alumna. She is a fully qualified teacher, specializing in teaching Politics and Humanities at secondary school level in the UK. She has a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. Her thesis explored the leadership competencies required to turn an idea into an impactful, education focused social enterprise working at scale.
