Dr. Mona Mourshed is the President of Generation: You Employed, an independent non-profit. Generation trains and places disconnected youth in jobs; and, after 2.5 years of operation, it has graduated 14,000 youth with an 83% job placement rate and an 80% retention rate at three months. Generation is currently live in five countries, 50 cities, and 120+ locations, and has 1360+ employer partners. Mona has authored widely cited employment reports, including Education to Employment: Getting Europe’s Youth Into Work and Education to Employment: Designing a System That Works. Mona has also published and been featured in multiple articles in prominent press. She was selected as one of Fortune Magazine’s ’40 under 40’ and serves on the Board of Governors of the International Baccalaureate Organization. She is also a senior partner at McKinsey & Company. Mona has a B.A. from Stanford University and a Ph.D. from MIT.
