Staci Alexander

Vice President, Thought Leadership, AARP

Staci Alexander is the Vice-President of Thought Leadership and leads a dynamic team of issue experts in working across sectors to cultivate and elevate new ideas, solutions and relationships to make healthy longevity accessible to all.

Staci has a rich history of cultivating partnerships and alliances in support of mission driven goals across the fields of policy development, philanthropy and communication. Staci has worked as a staffer in the United States Senate, as a lobbyist for urban and rural affordable housing development, and as a grant maker. Prior to joining AARP Staci worked in public media as Assistant Director with MacNeil/Lehrer Productions and Senior Associate of the Community Strategies Group for the Aspen Institute.

Staci is also passionate about advancing equity and access for adults and children with developmental disabilities. Staci serves on the board of the Institute for Exceptional Care, an organization committed to improving health care outcomes for people with development disabilities. She also serves as a volunteer commissioner for the Fairfax County, Virginia Housing and Redevelopment Agency.

Staci has an MPA from City University of New York, Baruch School of Public Affairs, and a BA in political science from Vassar College. Staci is also a graduate of the Leadership Fairfax (Virginia) Class of 2020.
